A father asks his 3 daughters what to bring for them upon his return from his travels. One asks for a dress, the other for talcum powder and the third, for a bag of coir to make cushions with. The father brings back all three gifts. The sack of coir is given to the youngest daughter, but the coir turns into a prince, and they get married. The jealous sisters crush glass and insert into the prince’s matteress, and he is injured and has to go away to his hometown. The youngest daughter has a dream about how to find him and cure him, and she follows him and effects the cure. They never return to her father’s town and live happily away from the jealous sisters.
